B. Patient Treatment

Collection and Purpose of Data Processing
The processing (collection, storage, use, and retention) of your data is based on the treatment contract and legal requirements to fulfill the treatment purpose and associated obligations. Data is collected by the treating physician within the scope of your treatment. Additionally, we may receive data from other physicians and healthcare professionals with whom you have been or are being treated, provided you have given your consent for this. Only data related to your medical treatment is processed in your medical history. The medical history includes personal details provided in the patient form, such as personal information, contact details, and insurance information, as well as details of the treatment, including conducted counseling sessions, health data such as medical histories, diagnoses, therapy proposals, and findings.

Duration of Retention
We process and store your personal data as long as necessary to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations or for the purposes pursued by processing. Your medical history is kept for 20 years after your last treatment. After this period, it will either be kept with your explicit consent or securely deleted or destroyed.

Sharing of Data
We will only transmit your personal data, including medical data, to third parties if required by law, if you have consented to the data sharing, or if legally mandated. Data will be transmitted to your health insurance or accident/disability insurance for billing purposes. The type of transmitted data will be based on legal requirements.
Data may also be shared with local and national authorities (e.g., cantonal medical services, health departments) based on legal reporting obligations.
Optionally, data may be forwarded to a collection agency for debt collection (recovering outstanding debts).

In specific cases, depending on your treatment and your consent, data may also be transmitted to other authorized recipients (e.g., laboratories, other physicians).

Withdrawal of Consent
If you have given explicit consent for data processing, you can withdraw that consent at any time, either fully or partially. The withdrawal or request for modification of consent must be made in writing. Once we receive your written withdrawal and processing can no longer be based on any legal basis other than consent, processing will be discontinued. The lawfulness of data processing before the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.
